Student Animators: Are You Our Magazine's Next Cover Story?

Your Animation Art Could Be Our Cover!

Reel-Exchange.com and Digital Content Producer magazine are teaming up to promote Student Animators at Siggraph 2008 in Los Angeles, August 12-14—and you and your work could be the cover of the July '08 Digtial Content Producer issue!

If you think your animation, CG, VFX, or Game art is up to the task follow these guidelines for submission:

a)if you already have a Reel-Exchange profile BE SURE to have the "Student" discipline selected for your profile and Your Learning Institution listed in the "Education" portion of your profile

b) if you don't have a Reel-Exchange profile go here: http://reel-exchange.com/register.html and use promo code MIL002 (all caps, zero, zero, two).

Add support@reel-exchange.com to your safe sender list, and watch for a verification email. Click that link, modify your profile and upload your video, then hit the "publish" icon in the upper right portion of the "Edit My Profile" page to make your page go live. You MUST have "Student" selected as a discipline on your profile and your learning institution listed in the "Education" portion of your profile.

c) BE SURE the animation, CG, or VFX piece you are submitting for consideration is one of the videos uploaded to your profile!

2)Once your profile is published email Reel Exchange Community Manager Craig Erpelding at support@reel-exchange.com with the following:
-Your Reel-Exchange profile URL
-the title of the video on your profile that you're submitting for consideration
-100 words about the concept of your piece, as well as the workflow and technology you used to create your animation, CG, or VFX project.
-Three hi-res images/screen shots (jpeg, tif, or eps) from your submission for cover art consideration (please see sample covers on this page for reference). The high res image should be 300dpi and at least 8in. wide at full size. (Notice how your artwork can break the lines as shown on the third cover)

The Editorial staff of Digital Content Producer and millimeter magazines will read through all submissions and select three finalists. Those three finalists will be the focus of an article that will appear in the July 2008 issue of Digital Content Producer magazine, which will be distributed at Siggraph 2008 in Los Angeles, August 12-14.

Of the three finalists, the one with the most dynamic art could end up on the cover of the July issue of Digital Content Producer!
