House of Moves was founded in 1996 out of a passion for motion capture and animation. As the first dedicated motion capture studio in the entertainment industry, House of Moves earned its reputation for work on such films as Titanic and Spiderman as well as countless game titles including Guitar Heros 1 & 2, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Resident Evil 5, and Left 4 Dead. In 2004, Vicon Motion Systems, the worlds preeminent optical motion capture manufacturer purchased House of Moves. Since then, it has grown to include a 26,000 sq ft studio space that houses two state of the art production stages. The main capture volume (Stage 1) focuses on multiple character performance interaction including full body, hand, basic finger and prop capture. In 2008 House of Moves upgraded its sound stage facility (Stage 2) by constructing sound proof walls and a scalable truss system that allows productions to capture full performance or basic full body and finger details. This new stage also provides the unique ability to record professional quality audio during capture to help handle heavy dialogue driven content. Additionally, HOM has recently increases it's post production services by adding a full team of highly skilled animators all focused on delivering exceptional solutions for the film, braodcast and interactive entertainment markets.
