An entertainment lighting designer with over 35 years experience in concert, television and film lighting. Designed the lighting for the Golden Globe® Awards for 17 years and has designed the lighting for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve for more than 20 years. Joined Design Partners Inc. in 1998 after 14 years as a principal partner and lighting designer with another Los Angeles based lighting design firm. Lighting design for classic music specials include Yanni at the Acropolis, Taj Mahal, and the Forbidden City, Roy Orbison’s filmed concert Black & White Night and Carly Simon’s My Romance HBO special. Specialty film work can be seen in Bringing Down the House, Vanilla Sky, Almost Famous, and 2006’s Southland Tales. Lee’s participation is frequently sought on many industry panels and publications and he continues to be an advocate of industry internship and mentoring programs.
